SATURDAY
bummer, just heard that GSH died, man he struggled, its like his struggles reflected those of
my artistic generation, was listening to me and the devil just now, the lyrics seem prophetic,
Early this morning When you knocked Upon my door
An I say Hello Satan I believe its time to go
look like ima make my 1st summerwoodshed deadline, well i will be a week or so behind but i count
that as a win, im trying just to get my work done before its time to answer the knock on my door
so, what do you think about paul ryan trying to justify recent ny21 loss that became a referendum on his medicareplan “If you can scare seniors into thinking that their current benefits are being affected, that’s going to have an effect, and that is exactly what took place here.”
they keep trying to make that distinction, if you over 55 it wont affect you, like long as you got yours what do you care what we do to the generations that come behind you,
they think we so slow we wont see thru that attempt to chill us seniors out, because they know we vote, we care
or is it they think we dont care about anybody but ourselves, they think we think like them, its offensive
in the name of GSH ima recommit to struggle, a luta continua, and getting my work done, two sides same coin
FRIDAY
has it been that long since i posted, i been in my novel, went down to the city for the black pack party
blackfolk in the publishing industry, in a party state of mind, saw folk i havent seen in 20 years,
i was prepared to be cynical, should have been home working, about it, but i had a good time
im part because i know my novel coming out soon, ive fixed the holes, now im just cleaning up
turning a draft into ellen in a couple of weeks max, this the moneydraft, this the one we market
plan is to sell it to somebody, get their feedback during the summer woodshed and its all gravy
one of the things i want to do when i finish this novel is start a publishing house, rootwork press
nonprofit probably, a book or two a year, nothing too strenuous, books i think deserve to exist
so what about the repub rob woodhall, lecturing a constituent who questioned the repub medicare plan
asking what would she do without medicare and he said, "hear yourself mam, you want the government to take care of you, because your employer decided not to take care of you. my question is, 'when do I decide I'm going to take care of me?'"
she say well why dont you refuse congressional coverage & take care of yourself like you want me to do,
'because its free', he replied - ie i got mine, forget you, thats the way we roll
