conspiracy theory 2
florida is at it again
using that purging felons from voter rolls tech of theirs
this time even more blatant than 2000
of 48,000 felons to be purged
22,000 were black, ie likely democratic voters
and only 61 hispanic, ie likely republican voters
they have no shame
we got to watch them like hawks
game and countergame
interesting article on sudanese political manueverings
that have contributed to darfur crises
the game is always deeper than you think it is
SATURDAY
conspiracy theory
the pentagon say they have lost the payroll records
covering bushs disputed national guard service
now thats deep
F9/11 the sequel
stay tuned
wolf tickets
everybody talking tough in the sudan these days
must be the pressure
sudanese foreign minister mustafa osman ismail
told the us and britain to back off threatened sanctions
unless they wanted another iraq on their hands
"i hope that they will not drag the world into a new problem from which it will be difficult to extricate itself and that is the problem of darfur"
a crude attempt to imply that international pressure on them
is a western hegemony thing
but this stonewall strategy of theirs has pissed off the african union too
i didnt think that was possible
the african union is sending 300 armed troops
ostensibly to protect the 30 unarmed observers
they have stationed on darfurs borders
some au members are insisting that au troops will
"not stand idily by" if they see civilians being attacked
sudans ismail insists that civilians be left to their tender care
”sudan has no problem if you want to send protection forces but it is protection forces to protect the monitors. the protection of civilians is the responsibility of the sudanese government."
oh is it now
300 au troops are not going to make a helluva lot of difference
but just the fact that they say they will go to the wall
to protect these blackfolk in trouble
is progress of a significant sort
i take what i can get
the great gitting up morning
"If I could have convinced more slaves that they were slaves I could have freed thousands more." queenmother tubman
people always trying to make me feel guilty cause im down for blackfolk
in this brave new postblack world being too down for blackfolk is considered bad form
quaint and questionable
i guess im just irreparably oldschool, a proud child of the 60s
and what black soldiers in vietnam called blackinization
my understanding is that if we are ever to get out
of this historical trickbag we have found ourselves in
racial solidarity is critical
my reading of history is when blackfolk don’t stand together we go down
and we go down hard
I fear if we all go postblack
blackculture and blackpeople might fade away,
and disappear in the multiculti future
this darfur situation is a case in point
most of those so called arabs aren’t really arabs
they are arabized blacks who have turned their backs on their blackness
warring on those who have not in the names of their new masters
call it genocide, ethnic cleansing, whatever you want
the gameplan is to remove blackfolk from their world
just cause im down for blackfolk dont mean I dont identify w/a common humanity
that’s where i get my phrase - progressives of the third way
the crosscultural family
but i have two families, the human family and the black one
i will serve the both of them without guilt or reservation
a little confusion maybe but no guilt no blame
I do fear sometime that im out of step w/the prevailing winds
(which doesnt help my marketability)
but in the final analysis it’s non negotiable, its my heart and soul
i grew up in the apartheid south, we couldn’t drink at the white water fountains
we had to ride in the back of the bus, we had to defer to white folk in all regards
i have in my day been chased out of both queens and mississippi
tail tucked between my legs
it was solidarity broke us free
we stood back to back and black to black
so im gon keep walking in the footsteps of david walker
his words are as good today as when he wrote them
during the great gitting up morning:
"our greatest happiness shall consist of working for the salvation of our whole body.
when this is accomplished a burst of glory will shine upon you which will indeed astonish you and the world."
it might sound trite but i love blackpeople
and for all the grief that comes with it i have loved being black
when i was coming up blackfolk had to stand together
it was a matter of life and death
now its a matter of choice – all for one and one for all
we have come such a long such a long long way
but we still got so very far to go
brother walker, walk with me
THURSDAY
islands in the sun
caribbean leaders continue to withhold recognition of haitis puppet government
jamaica, st vincent, belize, trinidad, barbardos, surinam and grenada
demanding conditions before recognizing haitis puppet regime
they want
the rebels who drove out aristede disarmed
yvon neptune and other political prisoners released
general elections scheduled
we all know they want a lot more
they also want
the american occupation of post aristede haiti reversed
an end to the unitedstates hemispheric hegemony
increased unity and empowerment as a bloc
enhancement of the tribal soul and destiny
theres a reason the caribbean is one of the taproots
of the pan african world
i am so proud of them for standing up
to american pressure
and listening to the conch horns call
a luta continua
with friends like these
congressional black caucus tried to talk sense into nader
elijah told him
"you have a right to run, but we have not heard a reason to run
if you are really our friend . . you need to move on”
he say they ambushed him
well he deserve to be ambushed
revolutionary purists still justifying support for him
still claiming there is no difference between
democrats and republicans in the 2004 election
what planet are these people living on
god deliver us from revolutionary purity
like krugman said in his column about moore
he got some problems with F911
but he will take them up with moore
after we have addressed this
'crises in american democracy'
and thats exactly what it is
a crises in american democracy
they said it couldnt happen here
well it has already begun
and most progressive forces
understand the sheer necessity of getting
this radical right wing government out
then we can go back to our customary
political bloodletting
we are much harder on ourselves
than the enemy ever was
alright
numbers going up again
thats good, I like that
yall like the new look
dontcha, I can tell
the stirring pictures and the little tight daily commentary this is an interesting site and some it misses check out the entry on afrocentricity still, a most interesting site okay, kerry and edwards, now we got a race on our hands dont get me wrong, a politician is a politician when you building a team you don’t want to stock your team its kinda like choosing a woman mundo afro latino magazine current issue has an interview with photographer of photoexhibit in some circles its claimed that slavery was the great dispersal exhibit itself on photographer anyana vellissia jackson homepage the new prime minister of iraq said he would "terminate those terrorists, whose booby-trapped cars and explosive belts have harvested the souls of innocent Iraqis without discrimination, destroying Iraqi schools, hospitals and police stations." i wonder if he includes himself in that category, since he did all the above seems to be movement on darfur in part because kofi annan, channeling fellow ghanian nkrumah, (efforts being made in international circles to have darfur officially declared now kofi trying to get the african union involved good luck with that - the african union has always been weak and lost its initial chance to be a strong federalized organization hopefully the au will, as planned, be stronger than the oau all the major powers of the day are continental but im not holding my cynical breath had a conversation with this atr brother but he came to me holier than thou, lecturing and preaching at me and in the same breath told me i should quit playing around talking down to me like i was one of his godchildren i told him i been practicing for almost 30 years now and 'real hoodoos' have not had any problems expressing i call myself taking hoodoo to the next level and anytime you i also told him im very comfortable with hoodoo as my spiritual home that i prefer my enlightenment on something other than and far as im concerned the fact that he could in one breath try to restrict hoodoo to a narrowly defined authenticity what i didnt tell him is that ima hoodoo elder strategically planting my destinic vision i am rickydoc
i know you like it, I know you do
skeptics skeptic
the skeptics dictionary
debunks a lot of spiritual verities
whenever folk want to dismiss afrocentricity
they always choose the crudities
to laugh at
for believers and nonbelievers both
WEDNESDAY
last time I fell in love with a politician was jesses first run for office
but anybody other than edwards would have been suicide
glad kerry was man enough to go strong, it’s a good sign
with weak folk just because you can boss them around
you want your team to consist of folk who are as strong
or stronger, than you are
el negro mas chulo
chronicles the struggles of the afrolatino diaspora
el negro mas chulo, chronicling the little known blacks of mexico
the conquerors plan to spread blackfolk all over the world
and forge them into a global peoples
deja vue
TUESDAY
in part because international publicity and pressure
has been reaching for critical mass
and no doubt influenced by his sense of guilt behind the rwandan genocide
been taking this one personal
a genocidal situation, in hope that will encourage international attention/pressure)
since its inception as the oau back in 1963
when it rejected the pleas of folk like nkrumah and the casablanca group
in favor of the western approved gradualism of the monrovia group
the holy grail of an african continental government
eventually it will have to be
as the european union finally figured out, continental power
has supplanted national power
as one day africa will have to be
dialogue
brother who had done some things i respected
i was hoping for an exchange of views
and some crosspollination
giving me uninformed advice
about how 'real hoodoos' would object to my brand of hoodoo
and join a more 'authentically' african atr path
like i need to be saved
enlightened
i started off doing what he calling 'real hoodoo'
that this is my chosen growth path
that hoodoo has always been eclectic tradition shaped
to the nature of the practitioner
their opinions on my positions thankyou very much
(like im not engaged in ongoing dialogue with the hoodoo community)
trying to move a tradition you accept the fundamentalist tribulation that entails
i dont need to be proselytized or saved
a holier than thou plate
hoodoo is about as authentically african (american) as you can get
homegrown spiritwork
i dont feel any need to go searching elsewhere for my spiritual validation
even african elsewheres
and in another breath declare that narrowly defined hoodoo an inferior path
is indicative of the problem
if you cant come to me with respect dont come at all
the high hoodoo
into the historical record and leaving
a message for future generations:
when you need me
you call me
i will come

Can't we put an end to this intolerant form of discourse?
