FRIDAY
let me get this straight, the republican position is that
the repbulicans have made a mess of government
lets throw the bums out
so we can send some more republicans in to clean
up the mess those other republicans made
i believe i got that right
mccains position is im going to be post partisan
soon as i win this election by going low as i can flow
i believe i got that right
and sarah palin further extreme
right than bush or mccain
i believe i got that right -
only republicans could find
or want a female cheney
so alex, got me a 3 yesterday, going for a 6 today (yeah right)
so whats your count dawg - when it come to production

THURSDAY
okay, she didnt stumble, so much for the magic bullet
its back in the trenches, i was hoping for a slam dunk
but in the realworld its always the trenches, step by step
inch by inch, its the dailygrind that win
we lost ground last night,a new contender has entered the fray - we raised some
issues but barring new revelations and/or stumbles theyve gotten her thru
cool, one just knuckle down, struggle aint never come easy,
my tubman theme has kept me focused on the longgame, i been tempted to use contemporary images this week but harriet keep it in context
like the conductor say: only one way to go and thats forward
now matter how intense the moment you got to stay focused on the
longgame - leveraging your moves - thinking ahead
and you never let the passions of the
moment throw you off your game
also ima use this as inspiration to get some work
done today, otherwise i will have the blues,
getting a little work done is always good for
setbacks in the realworld
cant control what happens in the realworld like you
can your fictional one, your magical one
im my world in my america the republican agenda wouldnt have a chance
they had a good time spewing contempt for community organizing last night didnt they
its indicative of the choice we facing
indicative of the stakes - americas soul
ohwell, we will all do what we can, the weak point
is still mccain, the embrace of rightwing extremism
this choice entail will energize his base but surely
that is a shrinking base and hopefully mccain will be forced
to continue to pander to his base and alienate regular folk
and she is still vulnerable on the issues, we will chip away at her
step by step and inch by inch - there is a flatearth
extremist hiding under that charm
and we gon put a spotlight on it before we wake
up one morning to a flatearth president
win or lose she a national force now
and the world just got a little rougher
my numbers have spiked lately, im not gon
get excited, theyve spiked before, you
often perplex me dear regulators
btw: do i get a vote on that billion
for georgias military - i guess not
class is at 330 and it is now 9:09, a 3 hr shift
will put me in at 12:30, i can do that
i can do that

WEDNESDAY
the republicans pushing hard on this palin thing
like everybody else i been floundering trying to find an angle of attack
that dont allow them to claim she being persecuted
this will be a delicate maneuver
cause she got to be attacked, not her personal but what the republicans trying to do with her
we got to call them on it, point out discrepancies to folk on the fence
we know she gon get up there tonight and speak untruth,
they gon be the right words, they all know how to say the right words
but it will be untruth
we cannot allow the okeydoke this time, not this election, cannot allow it
hopefully there will be more revelations, hopefully she will stumble
but we cant depend on political fortune
let barack stay above the fray, rest of us got to rumble
mccain call himself being slick but he likely dont realize just how extremist she is, imagine her as president, all too likely with mccain
really think about it it give you pause
the republicans think they can finesse bush, iraq and the
economy with this move - and lord help us they just might
then again, they might not
what they got to do now is get the press (and democrats) to back off, they
got to intimidate the press, classic repubs under pressure tactic
so check out the okeydoke, all the republicans on message right, how dare you treat her so
this is what peggy noonan got to say in the wsj, slavishly following the partyline:
==============
“Because she jumbles up so many cultural categories, because she is a feminist not in the Yale Gender Studies sense but the How Do I Reload This Thang way, because she is a woman who in style, history, moxie and femininity is exactly like a normal American feminist and not an Abstract Theory feminist; because she wears makeup and heels and eats mooseburgers and is Alaska Tough, as Time magazine put it; because she is conservative, and pro-2nd Amendment and pro-life; and because conservatives can smell this sort of thing — who is really one of them and who is not — and will fight to the death for one of their beleaguered own; because of all of this she is a real and present danger to the American left, and to the Obama candidacy. She could become a transformative political presence. So they are going to have to kill her, and kill her quick. And it’s going to be brutal. It’s already getting there.”
==============
but this live mike account in nytimes the caucus lay out what they really think:
==============
ST. PAUL — Two prominent Republicans — one of them a close ally and former aide to Senator John McCain — were caught on a live mic on MSNBC bemoaning the selection of Gov. Sarah Palin and the controversy surrounding her.
Mike Murphy, who worked on Senator McCain’s campaign in 2000 but declined to join this year’s, citing tensions with top campaign staff members, can be heard in near-anguish talking about the fallout from her candidacy. “I come out of the blue, swing-state governor world, Engler, Whitman, Thompson, Mitt Romney,” he said. But the McCain campaign just decided to run with Palin, he said, adding “It’s not going to work.”
Peggy Noonan, speechwriter for Ronald Reagan and columnist, interjects: “It’s over.”
Asked whether Ms. Palin is really the most qualified, Ms. Noonan responds rather incredulously, “The most qualified? No. I think they went for the — excuse me — political (expletive) about narratives. … Every time the Republicans do that, because that’s not where they live and that’s not what they’re good at, they blow it.”
Mr. Murphy then dives in with a rejoinder: “The greatest thing about McCain is no cynicism and this is cynical.”
==============
a farce, all this heat on the media to back off thats a farce too
mccain 72 and they treating the presidency with the same
contempt and cronyism they have brought to the justice dept
and homeland security and everything they touch
and we wonder why things are falling apart
they have no shame and
they do not really care
about america
they have asked a flatearth extremist to be 1 beat away from the presidency
creationism, succession, turning back the clock on gender and i suspect civil rights
extremism, geobullyism, impulse wars, supreme court judges, pampering the rich and abusing
regular folk, privatizing social security, sanctioning official torture, the politicalization of government
and on and on and aon, everything we hope to put behind us with the end
of bushs tenure - possibly taken to a newlevel by a flatearth extremist
o its showtime
it aint even about obama no more, its showtime
we standing at the crossroad
gambling with
americas soul

TUESDAY 10PM
regarding palin, the focus has moved to mccains vetting process, cool, its a safer line of
attack, less blowback, and we dont have to bring her down necessarily, we got to bring mccain down
and already the republicans are trying to bogart the media into backing off - straight out of the okeydoke playbook
i feel like harriet tubman, only direction i know if forward, aint no turning back
the republicans are not going to okeydoke this election, not if i have anything to say about it
i sent off money to the obama campaign a couple of days ago, ima send them a little something something when i can
about to send some money to moveon.org
what the hell might as well give some to color of change too,
maybe even give some to black agenda report,
i dont hold with that oldschool hardleft approach but i believe in their sincerity
time and focus i do not have to spare
money i can give
money dont mean a lot to me, got an artists attitude toward money
might as well start trying to leverage it politically
thats a sign of a cultures maturity isnt it
but i believe i will hold off on black agenda report
till after the election, they trying to bring obama
down too, cant support that
they pushing mckinney, a good person
but only role she can play in 2008 is spoiler
cant support that, not here not now
in struggle
