SAT: feb 10th, can it have been that long

finally finished the app process and
basically caught up w/schoolhouse
finallyt getting a little of my work done
this weekend, trying to do an extraction
on grace, did i already tell you, found
my spiritual beats in hoodoo book of
flowers inadequate, so now im digging

in researching grace et al, its led me
deep into theology, so anyway, first
i check out every book on grace i can
get my hands on and of them all this
one, manifestations of grace by eliza
dreyer, has been the richest for me, so
rich each page twists me up in grace

she so strong i ordered two more of her works on
christian spirituality and just found another good
one on grace, whats so amazing about grace

sampled it on amazon, sample was good
saw that ononaga public library had it, got
it and started reading it, it was worth  real
read, so i ordered it amazon kindle, $7.99

and so it goes

i am really invested in this research effort
its going to take me and HBOF to new level
of grace, im gone, so much work to do

been working hard on mbira, today i did
going down slow by bobby bland and
damn if i didnt nail it, will have to do it
over and over to make sure i never flub
it but one day and i nailed it, me and
that mbira, i was destined to play it

monday the 29th

whenever i go to the city i tend to the babajohn's grave as i tend
to his mythwork, i clean off the birdshit and bury fetishes, et al,
and i remind myself when the literary grind gets me down that
I'm not in it for the fame and fortune but for the legacy, for the
enhancement of the human condition thru my Works, like the
babajohn taught me, this last time i took my mbira and juiced it
up w/some my mentor's mojo, and i played me a blues for the
babajohn, the great griot master of brooklyn -- demoja

so hello world, i been buried, between reading
flash for my flash ficiton syllabus and getting my
applicarion process reading in so i wont be panic
reading in 2 weeks i been doing a poetry draft
of the hoodoo book of flowers, ive really cleaned
it up and was making good process, about 6 beats
a day when i got to the last 10;

(NOTE;all 81 movements are prefaced w/word 'hoodoo'
this is my attempt to transform perception of hoodoo
webster say hoodoo mean to hurt to harm, i want it to
mean to bless, to empower and illuminate, if my Text
takes folk will forever think of hoodoo differently)

so anyway im rolling along, about a day from finishing poetry
draft but these beats were weak, my power beats which came
before this were strong and unique but these illuminative beats

were weak, me just filling in the space, getting thru but no real
conviction, so by the time i got to grace i could go no further

i got to go deep, i got to give insights folk can really use
ima hit one of those beats a week to make them stronger

and uniquely real

already ive gotten so much more understanding of grace
and things to say about grace that are essentialist, went
to schoolhouse library today, came back w/8 books on grace
by the time i get thru them i will have an informed take on
grace instead of the self help pablum i got now

im gone, still trying to prepare for class
still trying to get thru those applications
got to read ninas novel before semester
catches me  up, and going thru some family

issues, and had that bug thats been going around
i feel like im operating on fumes, but such is life
